Past-Times Living History is a group of multi-talented, knowledgeable and seasoned performers. As a group, and individually, we have appeared with leading historians and writers including Alison Weir, Suzannah Lipscombe, Dr Annie Gray, Tracy Borman, Nicola Tallis, Elizabeth Norton and Lucy Worsley. Among our happy troupe we number professional actors (including TV, film and theatre performers as well as an RSC veteran), a prominent published author, historians, costume experts, musicians, early dance performers and public speakers.
HISTORICAL INTERPRETERS
Approachable and interactive performers.
HISTORY FOR ALL
We entertain and educate. No spectator is too young or old.
COURTLY INTRIGUE
Opulence and intrigue in a dangerous courtly world.
Our aim is to turn the pages of history into a relatable experience by interacting and engaging with our audiences. We breath life into many of the familiar, loved, despised, popular, famous and not famous characters who form the rich tapestry of our shared past. We never disappoint and, without exception, our audiences leave us imparted with knowledge, fond memories and a thirst to discover more about the characters we portray and the venues we inhabit.
EARLY MUSIC AND DANCE
We're friends with some fabulous Tudor musicians who can bring an historic accompaniment to your event.
ALWAYS ON TARGET
We hit our targets and have many strings to our bow.
FEASTING AND FOOD
So what exactly did the Court eat?
HOW WE WORK
We can be found regularly at castles, manor houses, historical venues, corporate events and festivals where we meet, greet and mingle with visitors and audiences alike while entertaining them. Every member of our group has several costumes which enables us to be flexible and responsive in our characterizations so creating a spectacular and interesting historical palette. Everyone at Past-Times Living History invests heavily in understanding their subject thoroughly and can inhabit their role in any situation.
ETIQUETTE & DRESS TO IMPRESS
We will guide you through the minefield of appropriate behaviour and Courtly Fashion.
OPENING DOORS
We'll get you into Tudor society by opening a few doors.
A BIT OF BLOOD & GORE
We don't mind blood and gore and can be a chip off the block.
